Impala skateboards are made by pressing thin layers (each layer is called a ‘ply’) of wood together, using epoxy-resin glue to hold each ply together. Using epoxy-resin glue makes a skateboard lighter (because its higher strength allows us to use less glue), stronger, and longer lasting. Epoxy-resin is also superior to the industry standard water-based glue.

This brand cares about their impact in the enviroment, and endeavour to create a product that is conscious of this. Thus, they have partnered with the National Forest Foundation (NFF - USA) to donate to their tree-planting program.

Tips for buying your skateboard and skateboard

There are various shapes and sizes of skateboards. The first thing we have to look at is the width of the skateboard. This width is measured in inches and is usually indicated in the name of the skate. In general, the typical widths of any skateboard start at 6.5 inches to end at 8.5 inches.
The way to choose the right skate size for us is to do it based on the width of our feet and our height. For this we can follow the indications in this table:

For more expert skaters, you can follow these guidelines:

Skateboard size 7.5 "to 8.0": Standard skateboard size for adult skaters who want to practice technical tricks, skate down the street, etc.
Skateboard size from 8.0 "to 8.25": Skateboard size for skating in pool, ramp, rail and skateparks.
Skateboard size from 8.25 ”and up: Skateboard size for skating vert, pool, cruising or skating old school style.
